What can I compare?
Anything text-based — source code, JSON, CSV, configuration files, contracts, emails or plain prose. You can paste both versions or drop a file into either pane.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you paste is sent to AgileTechForge or any third party. It keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
What is the difference between side-by-side and unified view?
Side by side puts the original and the changed version in two columns, which is easiest for reading prose and reviewing edits. Unified stacks removals and additions in one column with - and + markers, the same shape as a patch file or a pull request diff.
Why are only parts of a line highlighted?
When a line is modified rather than added or removed, the tool compares the two versions of that line and highlights only the words or characters that actually differ, so a one-word edit does not look like a whole rewritten line.
Can I ignore formatting differences?
Yes. "Ignore whitespace" treats lines that differ only in spacing or indentation as identical, and "Ignore case" makes the comparison case-insensitive. Both are useful when reviewing reformatted code.
Can I save the result?
You can copy the comparison as a unified diff or download it as a .diff file, ready to paste into a commit message, a code review or a ticket.
