HTML, CSS & JavaScript Formatter
Paste messy markup, styles or scripts and get them back cleanly indented and consistently spaced. Supports HTML, CSS, SCSS, LESS, JavaScript, JSX and TypeScript — all formatted in your browser, nothing uploaded.

Your cleaned-up code will appear here as you type.
What you can do
- Fix indentation. Minified or hand-mangled code is re-indented from scratch with 2 spaces, 4 spaces or tabs.
- Format eight languages. HTML, CSS, SCSS, LESS, JavaScript, JSX, TypeScript and TSX, detected automatically.
- Control the output. Set the wrap width, and choose semicolon and quote style for scripts.
- Catch syntax errors. Unparseable code is reported with the exact line, column and a code snippet.
- Work fast. Auto-format as you type, Ctrl + Enter on demand, then copy, download or apply the result back to the editor.
- Load & save. Drop a file in or upload one, and the language follows its extension.

Frequently asked questions
Which languages are supported?
HTML, CSS, SCSS, LESS, JavaScript, JSX, TypeScript and TSX. The language is detected from what you paste — or from the extension when you upload a file — and you can always override it.
Is my code uploaded anywhere?
No. The formatter runs inside your browser, so nothing you paste is sent to AgileTechForge or any third party. It keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
What does it actually change?
Indentation, line breaks, wrapping and spacing are rebuilt from the code’s syntax tree, so the result is consistent no matter how mangled the input was. Your logic, comments and names are left alone.
Why does it say there is a syntax error?
The code has to parse before it can be re-printed. You get the failing line and column plus a snippet of the surrounding code. If the language was guessed wrong — JSX read as plain HTML, for example — pick the right one from the Language menu.
Does it format HTML with embedded CSS and JavaScript?
Yes. Inline <style> and <script> blocks inside an HTML document are formatted with the CSS and JavaScript formatters automatically.
